M/V MAERSK JURONG, sold for 17 million Dollars (USD) to Arkas

Ownership of Japanese Ocean Harmony Shipholding’s container vessel M/V MAERSK JURONG (2824 TEU) has been purchased by the world’s 28th biggest İzmir/Turkey based Container Line Operator Arkas Line ,which controls 36 container vessels with a capacity of 54151 TEU.

According to news received by Deniz Haber Agency, M/V MAERSK JURONG was sold for 17 million Dollars (USD) to İzmir based Shipping Company ‘Arkas Line’. The vessel was built at Hyundai Shipyard in South Korea. This Panama flag hoisted vessel is 222 m long, 30 m wide and has a capacity of 2824 TEU.

The Contract for the Sale of vessel has been signed between Arkas Line and Ocean Harmony Shipping. However, until the time of delivery to Arkas Line in April 2016, the vessel has been chartered again to Maersk Line for 18650 Dollars (USD) daily.
